2006 Pangos Dream Classic

The 2006 Pangos Dream Classic will be held on Saturday January 14, 2006 at Hope International's Darling Pavilion (Fullerton CA).  This 12th annual high school basketball event (hosted by Dominguez HS) will showcase several of Southern California's and the nation's top boys high school squads, including a match-up between traditional powerhouses Dominguez (led by  the nation's top soph 6'1" Brandon Jennings and Cal signee 6'4" Patrick Christopher) and Westchester (2005 California State Division I champion).  Hope International is located at 2500 East Nutwood Avenue, Fullerton CA 92831 (just across the street from Cal State Fullerton).

The 2006 Pangos Dream Classic schedule is a follows:

1:00pm   Campbell Hall (N. Hollywood CA) vs. Flintridge Prep (La Canada)

2:30pm   Centennial (Compton CA) vs. Serra (Gardena CA)

4:00pm   Hoover (San Diego CA) vs. Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks CA)

5:30pm  Gorman (Las Vegas NV) vs. Pasadena (Pasadena CA)

7:00pm  Dominguez (Compton CA) vs. Westchester (Los Angeles CA)

Past Dream Classic's has showcased many future NBA stars.  The 2003 Pangos Dream Classic featured the #1 pick of the 2003 NBA Draft LeBron James (Cleveland Cavaliers) and attracted 12,500-plus fans, media and scouts to UCLA's Pauley Pavilion as well as a national ESPN2 audience.  The 2004 Dream Classic was headlined by three of the top 13 picks of the 2004 NBA Draft: #1 pick Dwight Howard (Orlando Magic), #12 selection Robert Swift (Seattle Supersonics) and the #13 choice Sebastian Telfair (Portland Trailblazers).  The Pangos Dream Classic has also served as a stage for several other future NBA players like Paul Pierce (Boston Celtics), Baron Davis (Golden State Warriors), Tayshaun Prince (Detroit Pistons), Tyson Chandler (Chicago Bulls), Jason Collins (New Jersey Nets), Jarron Collins (Utah Jazz), Jason Hart (Sacramento Kings), Josh Childress (Atlanta Hawks), Kirk Snyder (New Orleans Hornets), Luke Walton (Los Angeles Lakers), Casey Jacobsen (New Orleans Hornets), Corey Benjamin (Orlando Magic), Jeff Trepagnier (Denver Nuggets), Tito Maddox (Houston Rockets), Jamal Sampson (Sacramento Kings) and Dijon Thompson (Phoenix Suns).

Tickets can be purchased the day of the event at Hope.  Reserved seats (chairbacks) will be $12 and Adult General Admission will be $8 (Students with ID and Children under 12 will be $5).
