Guerrero Pops For Oklahoma State

The nation's top unsigned senior point guard 6'0" Cezar Guerrero (St. John Bosco/Bellflower CA) has committed to Oklahoma State - picking the Cowboys over serious interest from Iowa (visited), Oklahoma (visited), Kansas, Miami FL, Marquette, BYU, West Virginia, Oregon State, Florida State, Virginia Tech, Virginia, LSU,  Providence, Seton Hall, New Mexico State, New Mexico, TCU, Clemson, Alabama, Western Kentucky (visited) and UC-Irvine.

Guerrero averaged 28 points, 9 boards and 5 assists per game this past season for a 21-9 St. John Bosco squad that reached the 4-AA quarterfinals and shared co-MVP honors of the toughTrinity League with Mater Dei's Xavier Johnson.  Cezar's signature senior performances included a 48 point explosion against Trinity League champ Mater Dei and 41 points (including the game winning shot) against eventual CIF 4-AA champion Orange Lutheran.

Last summer Guerrero led the Latin America squad to a 3rd place finish at the adidas Nations event in Chicago and was named all-tourney at the talent-laded Las Vegas Fab 48 and Bob Gibbons Tourney of Champions (was the TOC' second leading scorer) while playing on a Belmont Shore squad that included DeAndre Daniels (down to Kansas, Texas and Duke), Grant Jerrett (committed to Arizona), Amir Garrett (St. John's signee), Ronnie Stevens (Hawaii signee), Christian Garrett (Kansas) and Eric Cooper (committed to Arizona).


Cezar has been invited to the Ball is Life All-American Classic @ Fullerton CA and the National HS 3-point Championship (which will be televised by CBS) being held at the Final Four in Houston TX.
