2012 Las Vegas Fab 48 Recap:

This year, a total of 352 teams (maximum capacity) from across the nation, Canada and Germany competed in the four 17u divisions (192 teams), two 16u divisions (96 teams) and two 15u divisions (64 teams).  
 
    
 Team Loaded (VA), behind Andrew Rowswer and Troy Caupin’s combined 26 points, defeated tourney #1 seed Arkansas Hawks 60-52 to capture the 17u Invitational title at the 3rdannual Las Vegas Fab 48 held during July 25-29 at Bishop Gorman HS (Las Vegas NV).  Arkansas Hawks were led by Imara Ready’s 18 points in the championship game.  Team Loaded and Arkansas Hawks advanced to the 17U Invite title game by defeating Net Gain Sports (MN) and Grassroots Canada, respectively.   Past champions of the Fab 48 17u Invitational Division include KC 76’ers (2011) and Oakland Soldiers (2010).
  
 
 The title game of the loaded 16u Invitational Division featured FiveStarBasketball.com’s top two ranked teams: Team SCAN (NY) and Team Thad (TN).  Shavar Newkirk (16 points) and Chris McCullough (14 points) combined for 30 points to help Team SCAN edge highly touted Leron Black and Team Thad 74-71 for this year’s title.  Chris Chiozza led Team Thad with 16 points.

Team SCAN scored a second 2012 Fab 48 title when their 15u squad squeaked by Minnesota Cyclones 59-58 to capture the 15u Invitational championship

17u Platinum Championship Bracket– Deron Williams Metro Elite 2013/TX(60-59 winners over Lake Show 17 Black/CA in title game)

17u Platinum Bronze Bracket– Team Eleate/CA(51-43 over Peak Germany Select in title game)

17u Gold Championship Bracket– Texas Gulf Coast(61-60 winners over Grassroots MSP/MN in title game)

17u Gold Bronze Bracket– MN Comets Elite(62-59 over Texas Select PAT in title game)

17u Premier Championship Bracket– Bulls Premier/IL(66-59 winners over Minnesota Heat in title game)

17u Premier Bronze Bracket– Roadrunners 17/CA(76-71 over ATX Lockdown/TX in title game)

16u Invitational Bronze Bracket– Gamepoint Black 16/CA (69-51 over X-Factor Hoops 16/UT in title game)

16u Platinum Championship Bracket– Ballers For Christ16/CA(58-56 winners over Northern Knights/Ontario CAN in title game)

16u Platinum Bronze Bracket– Roadrunners 17/CA(49-38 over San Diego All-Stars 16/CA in title game)

15u Platinum Championship Bracket– Texas Tigers(66-50 winners over United Elite/TX in title game)
