Tyler Dorsey Selected to Jordan Brand Classic
6-5 2015 lead guard Tyler Dorsey(Maranatha/Pasadena CA) has been selected to the prestigious Jordan Brand Classic high school all-american game being held on Friday April 17th at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn NY.

Dorsey has led his Maranatha HS squad to a 19-8 record this year which includes a 2015 Olympic League championship (8-0 league record) and a #1 seed in the CIF-4A division. Maranatha plays for the CIF-4A crown this Friday night against Campbell Hall and UCLA signee Aaron Holiday. Dorsey is averaging 33.9 points, 10.6 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game this season and has scored 40 points or more 10 times this season including a season-high 49 points versus Las Vegas Centennial and the nation's top soph PG Troy Brown at the Pangos Dream Classic in Las Vegas (also set the Pangos Dream Classic single game scoring record surpassing same event scoring efforts of LeBron James, Paul Pierce, Dwight Howard, Tyson Chandler, Brandon Jennings , Jrue Holiday and Tayshaun Prince). Dorsey is also shooting 66% from the field and 79% from the FT line.
Dorsey's 33.9 scoring average is tops among all invited Jordan Brand Classic players and good for #13 in the nation according to MaxPreps.
Dorsey was named all-tourney at the loaded 2014 Tarkanian Classic (tied for 3rd in scoring at the event). Dorsey was a 4-time invitee of the Pangos All-American Camp (event's all-time leading scorer) and was named co-MOP in 2014 with fellow Jordan Brand Game selections Isaiah Briscoe and Stephen Zimmerman. Tyler is also a two-time invitee of the NBPA Camp held annually in Charlottesville VA - led his camp team to the championship game there last June.
Dorsey recently picked Oregon as his college choice after being offered scholarships during his high school career by the likes of Kansas, Duke, Arizona, Kentucky, UConn, UCLA, Cal, Colorado, Louisville, Florida, Georgetown, Utah, USC, Gonzaga, Arizona State, St. John's, Oregon State, San Diego State and UNLV.
Dorsey becomes the 4th Belmont Shore alumnus to be invited to the Jordan Brand Classic(along with Grant Jerrett, Stanley Johnson and Daniel Hamilton).
